Hi everybody! 

Come sempre le vacanze pasquali volano davvero velocemente, ma quest'anno ho trovato il tempo di recarmi nella mia città vecchia e assistere ad uno degli eventi più tipici e antichi della città di Bari: i misteri di Pasqua.

As always the Easter flys really fast, but this year I found the time to go in my old town and attend one of the oldest and most traditional events in the city of Bari: the Mysteries of Easter.

Nove statue a grandezza naturale sfilano per le vie principali della città, attraversando la parte più vecchia e alcune zone del centro. Ogni statua ha la sua banda e con i devoti e i credenti al seguito. La musica delle bande, le persone anziane commosse, i bambini che rimangono affascinati da questo spettacolo, conferiscono un'atmosfera davvero d'altri tempi, commovente e surreale. E' una tradizione tramandata da grandi a piccini, e ancora oggi per me ha un significato particolare, perchè oltre ad essere un momento di riflessione, mi ricorda tanto la mia infanzia, quando mi recavo nelle strade della città vecchia e dal basso osservavo quelle grandi statue (ma per fortuna poi mio padre mi prendeva sulle spalle!) Rivedere quelle scene e bloccarle con la mia piccola macchinetta ha significato davvero tanto per me e spero di trasmettervi questa mia emozione attraverso gli scatti!

There are nine life-size statues which parade through the streets of the city, crossing the oldest part and some parts of downtown. Each statue has its band, the devotees and believers to follow. The music of the bands, the elderly moved, children who are fascinated by this show, give a truly from another time, moving and surreal. It 's a tradition handed down from large to little ones, and still has a special meaning for me, because besides being a time of reflection, reminds me so much of my childhood, when I walked the streets of the old town and watched the big ones from the bottom statues (but luckily then my father took me on his shoulders!) Review and block those scenes with my little machine has meant so much to me and I hope to convey my emotions through the shots!
