ABOUT ME

“The real voyage of discovery
consists not in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes.”
Marcel Proust

Hello my name is Barbara and  I'm from Italy.

I've just taken my Master Degree in Environmental Biology, focusing my studies in Marine Biology at the univeristy of Bari. I've always been a lover of science and nature and I'm an enthusiastic explorer of the world. I love travelling, discovering a new place, better with just a backpack and my beloved camera. As a scout girl since I was 11 years old, I do love adventure and doing things for the first time. I like to share my adventures writing everything on my jotter, collecting memories form my travel too. I think that photography, is a "magic art", that could really change the mood of the people, and the most thing that I like is that is always free, ad so on, eternal. If you put your heart on the same line with your object and your camera, that moments will be always yours... don't you think?

You're welcome here on my Nature Jotter, you can discover all of my travels here, and feel free to check out my stories, adventures and experiences also on my Facebook, instagram and youtube accounts!

WHAT ABOUT THE NATURE JOTTER?

It was a dark night of November 2011, and my idea was to share my adventures and photos to all of my friends in an easy and quick way.

Right now, it is dedicated to naturalists, photographers, travellers and just curious, who is looking for feelings about places. It will look like a collection of photos around Puglia (south of Italy), Italy and all around the world. Just for sharing on web, some snapshots. Shots of little details taken along the way, something that could be unnoticed if they were not pinned on a faithful travel companion: a Jotter.
Photos away from long shots, photographs taken by chance by a small digital camera during journeys on foot, often with only the essentials ... aspiring just to that rare and autentic union between man-traveler, and his oldest and most faithful friend: Nature.
The aim of the blog is not only to share the most authentic knowledge of the beautiful world around us, in every possible way.
The Nature Jotter was born as a blog, but as all travelers, is a dreamer.
It dreams of one day to raise awareness of the many people to love nature, to the knowledge of all its parts, respecting and developing a sustainable lifestyle.
With The Nature Jotter you are traveling with a backpack on his shoulders, revealing those places are not present on the tourist guides, but also for the case with your camera phone, and with the conviction that a little attention to detail that is around us, you may be able also improve the day.

Ehy you, have you look around today?

Ciao a tutti!

E tu ti sei guardato intorno oggi?
