Tourist in Puglia: Monopoli (First Part)

Hi everybody!
Questa settimana The Nature Jotter vi porta in un posto speciale della nostra Puglia: Sole, Mare e un centro storico favoloso...si tratta di... Monopoli! Pronti per il tour?

This week, The Nature Jotter takes you to a special place in our Puglia: Sun, Sea and a stunning historical center ... i'm talking about... Monopoly!Ready for the tour?


Attraverseremo questa splendida città in tre puntate, nella prima vi porterò alla scoperta del centro storico fino al castello, nella seconda attraverseremo il porto fino alla "villa", e nella terza.... surprise! :D 
Monopoli è un comune italiano di 49.622 abitanti della provincia di Bari, in Puglia. Si trova 43 km a sud-est del capoluogo ed è il centro non capoluogo più popoloso della Puglia a sud di Bari. Proprio per questo rappresenta una delle mete preferite dei baresi per trascorrere fresche sere d'estate grazie ai numerosi locali e al popolo cordiale e socievole. Ero abituata infatti a vedere Monopoli by night ma devo dire che vederla con la luce, si assiste ad un mix perfetto tra i colori del mare e le costruzioni medioevali, il tutto reso ancora più seggustivo dalle mura che circondano il centro storico! Facendo qualche ricerca inoltre, ho scoperto che è stata fonte d'ispirazione per importanti autori come Flaubert... E voi siete mai stati a Monopoli? Ma ora ecco le foto, alla prossima dears! :)

ps: devo ringraziare le mie amiche di Monopoli Rosi e Ale che mi hanno accompagnato in questo tour in questa magnifica città! Love you girls!♥


We will cross this beautiful city in three steps, the first will bring you to discover the city center to the castle, in the second cross the harbor to the "house", and in the third .... surprise! : D 
Monopoly is an Italian town of 49,622 habitants of the province of Bari, in Puglia. It is located 43 km south-east of the capital and is the most populous non-capital of Puglia in the south of Bari Because this is a favorite of Bari to spend cool summer evenings with numerous local and friendly people and sociable. In fact I used to see Monopoly by night but I must say that seeing the light, we see a perfect mix between the colors of the sea and the medieval buildings, all made even more seggustivo from the walls surrounding the old town! Also doing some research, I discovered that it was important source of inspiration for writers like Flaubert ... And you've never been to Monopoly? But now here are the pictures, the next dears! :)
ps: I have to say thanks to my two friends of Monopoli Rosi e Ale who walked with me in this amazing city! Love you girls!♥

    We have found your blog now and your photos are amazing! You´re so lucky because you have saw those places...
    It´s like a dream, with a lot of flowers, white walls we want stay there now haha but it´s imposible. Have you ever been in spain? We´re from Bilbao!!! It´s not like your photos but it´s beautiful too :)

    E' un incanto, pare di respirarvi l'aria calda del mediterraneo. La luce è quella che scalda i paesi al sud - come anche la Grecia - e le case bianche e luminose, per proteggersi dal caldo.
    Belli i colori dei fiori che adornano l'entrata della casa.. e gli edifici storici.
    Una serie invidiabile.
    Spero di vedere presto le prossime :-)

    Monopoli deve essere stupenda, io l'anno scorso sono andata a Porto Cesareo ed è un paesino stupendo, lo stile pugliese è unico!!!

    Bellissima citta' risaltata dalle tue foto; ma li l'acqua del mare e' davvero cristallina!Io non ci sono mai stato ma quest'estate saro' da quelle parti e non manchero'. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably go there in the next couple of month.
